Roseate Spoonbill in Charleston, SC

The reported roseate spoonbill in Charleston was observed today at low
tide in the tidal area behind Mimi's restaurant on Harbor View Rd. The
bird is apparently using many of the tidal creeks in this area, but has
been most reliable behind the restaurant, from the connector off ramp by
Mimi's, and in the creek behind a residence on James Island. Photos
have been taken. It has been in the area for about 3 weeks. Reports
(but not confirmed) also indicate that the spoonbill roosts and perches
at high tide in the same area and near the sewage treatment plant on
Plum Island.
