Hi y'all,
While checking out the fall birds in the yard this a.m., I watched what
I presume to be an imm. male Ruby-throat harass a Y-b Sapsucker that was
working on a red maple. After the woopecker was finally removed from its
worksite, the hummer returned and appeared to be probing the newly-opened
wells.
A few other birds observed:
N. Flicker - 4
E. Phoebe - 1
R-c Kinglet - 6
E. Bluebird - 1
R-e Vireo - 1
N. Parula - 3
Pine Warbler - 1
Palm Warbler - 1
White-throated Sparrow - 1 (first of fall here)
Plus all the "usual suspects."
Cheers,
Gary
