HI . . .
WOW! The big event of the week was a banded Ruby-throated Hummingbird
from Hilton Pond Center that was recaptured in Alabama.
To learn just how unusual an event this is, check out the website for
Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History at
http://www.hiltonpond.org/ ; under "Miscellany," click on "This Week
at Hilton Pond" and then on the week of 22-28 October.
Also included are the weekly bird banding totals--which now includes
interesting recaptures of locally banded birds--plus close-up photos
of a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and Hermit
Thrush.
Happy Nature Watching!
BILL
