Hi y'all,
Spent a fair part of the day in Lewis Ocean Bay (~8 mi. north of Conway
off of SC 90) with Reg Daves. We had a Common Nighthawk calling incessantly
as it flew overhead in mid-afternoon, Blue Grosbeak, and 11 warbler spp.
including:
N. Parula
Yellow-rumped
Yellow-throated
Pine
Prairie (heard like maybe half the NA breeding population; saw one)
Prothonotary
C. Yellowthroat
Hooded
Yellow-breasted Chat (many)
Worm-eating
La. Waterthrush
Also of note was a tailess fledgling Bachman's Sparrow.
Odyssey update: 224.
Cheers,
Gary
