Hilton Pond 09/08/01 (Flower Quiz)

HI . . .

After all the recent turmoil, we're still running a little behind at
Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History but finally have
posted the latest installment of "This Week at Hilton Pond" for 8-14
September 2001.

Since so many of you have said you liked our "quizzes," this week's
photo essay poses a question about a common Piedmont wildflower that
you never may have noticed--unless you walked close to it. For
details please visit http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek010908a.html
(This is a direct link but please feel free to browse the rest of
the Web site.)

As usual, there are seven-day totals for banded and recaptured birds,
including comparative photos of bill shapes in Scarlet and Summer
Tanagers.

Peace, and Happy Nature Watching,

BILL
