Since many of our Carolinabirds members are into nocturnal flight note
listening, I thought they might like to see this posting from the Georgia
listserv. It must have been a good night to be on the move!

Just for fun, Deb and I did a nocturnal count on Saturday morning from
about 4:45 - 7:00AM. We had alot of birds passing over, peaking between
6:15 - 6:45AM. Here is the summary of what we could ID;
Veery 65
Gray-Cheeked Thrush 19
Swainson Thrush 712
Wood Thrush 44
Bobolink 2
Rose-breasted Grosbeak 2
Comon Nighthawk 2
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron 1
Great Horned Owl 1
Warbler type chips 65
and many more calls went unidentifed !
Also, this afternoon at the sewage line cut in Marietta near our house,
Earl Horn and I found another Yellow-bellied Flycatcher.
