Just a reminder that the fall work day at Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary in
north Asheville takes place tomorrow, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Bring garden tools and work gloves, wear your grubbies. The weather should
be great.
And if you're a birder, you may want to bring binoculars, too. This
morning there were Blackpoll, Bay-breasted, and Tennessee warblers in good
numbers, along with Magnolia, Black-throated Green, Chestnut-sided and
American Red-start, plus a grosbeak or two and at least one (non-Robin)
thrush.
cheers,
Len Pardue
