Ben Berry and myself ventured south to Peachey land in search of
migrants, birding tuesday PM and Wednesday am. We concentrated primarily
on the carriage walk and sandpiper trail ,
The weather was wonderful and the full moon over the water was
breathtaking . Even the birding was pretty good. Birds of note were:
white eyed, red eyed, and blue-headed vireos; palm, praries,
magnolias,redstarts,blue winged,and common yellow throats.
An early hooded merganser, pied billed grebes and a lone spotted
sandpiper in murrells inlet rounded out the list. The only ducks we
could find were blue winged teal. Dave
