Hi folks - Yesterday was an off day with south winds. Did manage to pick up
a few birds on Roanoke Island, though. Had several species of warblers
including Bay-breasted and Magnolia. Also had a fly-over DICKCISSEL, a
Rose-breasted Grosbeak, a Swainson's Thrush and 2 Gray-cheeked Thrushes
(bathing together in my drip-dish/birdbath). Lots of winter birds around:
Phoebes, Kinglets, Sapsuckers, a Brown Creeper, a Winter Wren, Cedar
Waxwings, Yellow-rumps (not many yet, thankfully).
Hopefully this next front will soon bring us another good batch of
migrants!
