Spent the weekend in the Asheville area, but got very little time to
do any birding (fall leaf watching with the mother-in-law). However,
I did get some lovely views of the following, mainly around the hotel
grounds:
song sparrow 2
WT sparrow
chipping sparrow 3
cedar waxwing: 5 feeding in a dogwood
Tennessee warblers: 8
E phoebe
downy WP 2
N flicker
Indigo bunting
Cooper's hawk 3
Turkey V more than a dozen along the parkway and elsewhere
Carolina wren 2
C chickadee 5
Am Robin 40+ in flocks
Sadly, no juncos
