Tropical Kingbird still at Pea Island

The Lower Neuse Bird Club led by Bob Holmes was thrilled on Saturday
afternoon, Nov. 10, to see the Tropical Kingbird at the little oceanside
pond across from South Pond. He seemed quite content to perch and catch
with all of us oohing and aahing and scoping. He was also observed at the
same place on Sunday morning, Nov. 11. We also observed another possible
Tropical Kingbird at the Coast Guard Station while standing in the high
dunes area. The bird perched several times and then took off and flew
across the bridge. Two Eurasian Widgeons were observed at North Pond. It
was a wonderful weekend and many thanks to Bob Holmes for leading us.
