Got a call today about a rufous (female?) h'bird in Mt. Pleasant. It has
been there for a few days. The lady's name is Doris Bernard, and she
said she didn't mind people coming to see the bird, But they have to
call first, as she lives in a gated community. She seems to be taking
very good care of it, as she changes feeders everyday. She also said
that THE great horned owl has once again appropriated the osprey nest to
raise her own chicks. Doris lives in Ravens Run, right off the Isle of
Pakms connector, on the marsh. Her phone # is 843-884-6897, & address is
1668 Omni Blvd. I will try & go see it tommorow. Bob Chinn
