C'birders,
As Bruce reported, the W. Kingbird was nowhere to be found today. (I worked
the area 'til 3:30pm - I've now double dipped within the past week!) It was
a very nice day nonetheless, unexpectedly rainless. The base of the jetty
at high tide is a great place to compare and contrast the 2 Sharp-tails
without getting your feet wet. Nelson's seemed to have a majority. Other
highlights included a hat trick of falcons, an imm. Bald Eagle chasing an
Osprey across the point and lots of young Gannets only a few yards off the
beach just beyond the breakers.
