We know that cold weather is really on the way when the first avian
royalty arrives in October at Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural
History.
For facts and photos about the arrival of Ruby-crowned and
Golden-crowned Kinglets, just click on
http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek021022.html for the 22-28 October
2002 installment of "This Week at Hilton Pond."
As always, there are lists of the week's banded species and
recaptured birds--including four new species for the year--plus a mug
shot of a Blue-headed (Solitary) Vireo.
Please forward this message to others who are interested in nature
and birds. They can get a free weekly reminder for "This Week at
Hilton Pond" by sending a blank e-mail to mailto:info@hiltonpond.org
with SUBSCRIBE in the subject line.
Happy Nature Watching,
BILL
