Lincoln's Sparrow at York SC

Today (1 Nov 2002) I netted and banded a Lincoln's Sparrow, one of our most elusive species at Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History.

It was only the sixth banded since 1982 out of a total of 41,779 birds, and the first since 1992. Check for a photo next week under "This Week at Hilton Pond."

Happy Birding,

BILL
