Possible Ruby-throated Hummer at Pendleton SC

On 10 November 2002 I observed but did not band an apparent Ruby-throated Hummingbird at a feeder that was also being frequented by a hatch-year male Rufous Hummingbird.

As with the apparent Ruby-throat reported at Raleigh on the same day by Susan Campbell, this would be an extremely late date for an inland Ruby-throat in the Carolinas.

Happy Nature Watching,
