The following are highlights of the three hour Sunday morning birdwalk at
Magnolia Plantation at 3550 Ashley River road ( highway 61 ) North west of
Charleston, SC led by Perry Nugent at 8:30 am.
November 17, 2002.
50 species were seen from a car in rain. The most interesting were; 3
Black-crowned Night Herons, 1 adult Bald Eagle, 1 Northern Harrier, 4
Soras, 2 Pileated Woodpeckers, 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet, 3 Golden-Crowned
Kinglets, 8 Eastern Bluebirds, 20 American Robins, 2 Palm Warblers, and 30
Rusty Blackbirds,
