Sharpie near-miss

hi y'all,
this afternoon, a Sharp-shinned Hawk made a pass at the feeders and routed a
House Finch which made straight-way toward where I was standing. At the last
second (as I started to duck,) the finch went left, the Sharpie went right
and checked up overhead on a maple branch about 15' above me. Then it leaned
over, glared at me while it twitched its tail, and muttered what I took to
be rather unflattering remarks regarding my ancestry in Sharpie-ese. Like it
was my fault it missed. Jeez...

Yesterday observed an ad. Bald Eagle giving soaring lessons to a group of
Ring-billed gulls over Lake Busbee in Conway.

Cloudless Sulphur, Gulf Frits, Long-tailed, Clouded and Silver-spotted
skippers on the hummer plants in the frost-free environs here. Alas, no
hummers were noted.
