Caw Caw Birdwalk



The following are highlights of the 3 hour Wednesday morning birdwalk at
Charleston County's Caw Caw Park in Ravenel, SC. led by Perry Nugent at 8:30
am.

66 species were seen and/or heard.  The most interesting were; 1 Green
Heron, 1 immature Black-crowned Night Heron, 400 Green-winged Teal, 2
Mottled Ducks, 12 Blue-winged Teal, 1 male Mandarin Duck ( escape? with 10
Wood Ducks ), 2 Adult Bald Eagles working on nest, 2 Common Snipe, 1
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 10 Golden-crowned Kinglets, 2 Hermit Thrushes,
400+ American Robins, 20 American Pipits, 3 Blue-headed Vireos, 1
Orange-crowned Warbler, 1 Yellow-throated Warbler, 2 Pine Warblers, and 6
Rusty Blackbirds.
