The first installment of "This Week at Hilton Pond" for 2003 deals
with the pros and cons of feeding wild birds. The current photo essay
was precipitated by an anti-feeder article that appeared in late
December in the Wall Street Journal.
Just click on http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek030101.html for the
week of 1-7 January 2003.
As always, there's a tally of birds banded during the period; also
included is an interesting list of recaptures of some American
Goldfinches banded locally a few years back.
Please forward this message to others who are interested in nature
and birds. Anyone can get a free weekly reminder for "This Week at
Hilton Pond" by sending a blank e-mail to mailto:info@hiltonpond.org

Happy Nature Watching, and Happy 2003!
