Finally a bird worthy of reporting. It's been a long dry spell.
I had a juvenile Golden eagle near my work place today. It was over the
ridge line about a quarter mile East of Hwy. 18, one point seven miles South
of Sparta, NC. Time was 1:30 p.m..
Weather conditions at the time were:
Scattered clouds, blowing snow.
9 degrees F
It was cavorting in the gale and seemed to be enjoying every minute of it.
