RE: Could the Dead Robins be a casualty of the snow?

I just wanted to report what I saw with my own eyes that Sunday morning. As I
was approaching that area it appeared to look like masses of birds flying over
the highway and back down again....first thought from far away--starlings.
But as I got closer I quickly realized that was not the case. The shrubs next
to the highway were alive with birds. Feeding frenzy probably due to the fact
of the snow we recieved earlier. The birds were moving back and forth to the
shrubs. The time I drove on Hwy 1 on Sunday mid-morning the roadside was not
covered with snow as it had been in the days previous.
