The following are highlights of the 3 hour birdwalk at Charleston County's
Caw Caw Park located on US 17 south in Ravenel, SC led by Perry Nugent at
8:30 am. A small fee is charged. For more information about these walks,

54 species were seen and/or heard. The most interesting were; 45 White
Ibis, 8 Hooded Mergansers, 1 adult on nest and 1 first year Bald Eagle, 1
Great Horned Owl, 10 Pileated Woodpeckers, 1 Winter Wren, 1 Marsh Wren, 4
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, 1 Golden-crowned Kinglet, 6 Eastern Bluebirds, 10
Hermit Thrushes, 1 White-eyed Vireo, 1 first year Nashville Warbler, and 5
Pine Warblers.
