Nelson's, etc.

This morning I a got a close-up view of the Nelson's Sharp-tailed
Sparrow at the Van Wingerden complex. The bird was in the briar-covered
mound of earth directly behind the gravel parking lot with 4 Savannah
Sparrows, a Song Sparrow, and 2 nearby Wilson's Snipe. This is a
perfectly marked Nelson's and a great find, Marilyn!

Also, the large flock of Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs continues to
be seen along Hooper Ln. Lately they've been close to the road,
affording great scope views.
