I left home at day break and headed east from Fayetteville into
an area of Cumberland County that I had not visited since the first
of the year. The wind and the periodic heavy cloud cover made seeing
birds difficult, but I saw or head enough to make the trip
worthwhile. The best birds were a common yellowthroat at Beaver Dam
Creek and a hermit thrush off SR 2221..
