Dear Birders,
Every so often, at dusk or dawn I would hear a bird fly over making a
rasping "crack crack" sound.
Unfortunately, I could never see the bird making the sound because of low
light levels.
Finally, the other day I was listening to some bird song recordings and I
heard it.
It was a common snipe.
I thought it might be a snipe, since we live near a marsh but it's good to
finally know with certainty.
