Gene Howe just called and reported that he and Judy Flint saw the murre
at Ft Macon this morning about 10:30. It was seen out in the channel between
the Coast Guard station and Radio Island in the vicinity of a red buoy. They
were standing at the wooden fence where the bird had been seen frequently in
the last few days.
I spoke with John Wright this morning about 11. He said it was raining
pretty hard at the Point then, and his follow-up search for the Clark's
Grebe had yielded nothing at that time.
