migrants in Georgetown Cty, SC

hi ya'll,

did fieldwork in NW Georgetown County today, near the Black River. a number
of Yellow-throated, N. Parula and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher seen and heard.

a Royal Tern this afternoon fishing near the Pee Dee/Black River bridge on
Hwy 17 north of Georgetown. a small flock of nicely plumaged Laughing gulls
loafing on a new dock at the marina.

cpl of Cloudless Sulphur and a Polygonia sp., and some white-flowered shrub
that i haven't gotten id'd yet. the fragrance is somewhat reminiscent of
sweaty socks (oops, that makes it an odor, doesn't it?)

and one big ol' bullfrog that appeared to be familiar with the bullfrog
interpretation of the advisory to "run and live to fight again another day."
