hi ya'll,
today there were at least 2 Ruby-throateds duking it out over the feeder at
my workplace in Georgetown County...and at least one of them is wearing a
band.
lots of Blue-gray Gnatcatcher song in addition to almost constant "zeeing."
first "flock" of cowbirds.
an ad. male N. Harrier coursing a clear-cut alongside 701 south of Conway.
a few Azure sp. and Cloudless Sulphur. a cool orange-y dragonfly with a
black tail-tip hanging out over a puddle. Some sort of violet sp., a
Cardamine sp. and Horse Sugar starting to bloom. Laurel Oak covered with
catikins. Pine pollen everywhere.
ahhh...spring has sprung, indeed.
