11 Warblers @ Myrtle Beach State Park



Migration continues to pick up here along the SC coast.  I had a chance to
bird for a bit around Myrtle Beach State Park today.  Eleven warbler species
were found.  New birds for the year included several male American Redstarts
around the nature center and a male Orchard Oriole by the pond.  At one
point this oriole was seen less than a foot away from a male Baltimore
Oriole in the top of a hardwood.  They remained side by side for several
minutes.  52 species were located.  I've included a list of the warblers
below followed by the rest of the cast.
