Cape May Warbler in Chapel Hill

A male CAPE MAY WARBLER was singing in the Community Church parking lot
(Purefoy Rd) in Chapel Hill today at lunch time.

In addition to the previously reported SCARLET TANAGER and HOODED
WARBLER, I can also confirm Sandy Cash's sighting of an cinammon-olivy
thrush with no eye ring and indistinct streaking on its breast,
consistent with VEERY, in the NC Botanical Gardens trails.

Also at the NCBG, a resident BARRED OWL has been conspicuous around the
creek. The LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH is hard to miss.
