The following are highlights of the 3 hour Saturday morning birdwalk at
Charleston, County's Caw Caw Park on US highway 17 south in Ravenel, SC led
by Perry Nugent at 8:30 am. A small fee is charged. For more information

April 26, 2003
59 species were seen and/or heard on a rainy day. The most interesting
were; 4 Anhingas, 2 Green Herons, 10 White Ibis, 3 Wood Ducks, 3 Blue-winged
Teal, 2 Ospreys on nest, 2 baby Bald Eagles on nest, 2 Solitary Sandpipers,
40 Least Sandpipers, 3 Common Terns, 6 Least Terns, 4 Pileated Woodpeckers,
1 Acadian Flycatcher, 1 Willow Flycatcher singing the whit call, 5 Parula
Warblers, 1 Yellow-throated Warbler, 1 Pine Warbler, 3 Blue Grosbeaks, 3
Savannah Sparrows, and 5 Orchard Orioles.
