The following are highlights of the 3 hour Wednesday morning birdwalk at
Charleston County's Caw Caw Park on US highway 17 south in Ravenel, SC led
by Perry Nugent at 8:30 am. A small fee is charged. For more information

59 species were seen and/or heard. The most interesting were; 1 Pied-billed
Grebe, 20 Anhingas, 25 Wood Storks, 1 Mississippi Kite, 2 Ospreys, 1 Adult
and 1 Immature Bald Eagles, 6 Red-shouldered Hawks, 30+ Semipalmated
Plovers, 30 Greater Yellowlegs, 8 Solitary Sandpipers, 60+ Least Sandpipers,
8 Yellow-billed Cuckoos, 1 Barred owl, 3 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, 3 Wood
Pewees, 10 Northern Parula Warblers, 6 Yellow-throated Warblers, 2
Prothonotary warblers, 1 Northern Waterthrush, 5 Common Yellowthroats, 2
Blue Grosebeaks, 1 Indigo Bunting, 8 Painted Buntings, and 4 Orchard
Orioles.
