Re: dead Sora, etc.



Hi all. The NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh does accept dead birds and
other animals... they might become part of the permanent research collection, or
part of our teaching collection. When you bring a specimen to the Museum, it
will be directed to my gallery (John Connors), in The Naturalist Center, where
we will secure the data and put the animal in our freezer until our research
section folks (John Gerwin) retrieve it. If it is suited for the research
collection they'll prep it, otherwise it can be prepped for the education
section. So actually you can contact either of the Gerwin or myself regarding
specimen donation.
