this may have been mentioned here before and I?m a blithering forgetful
idiot(...no comments please), but I just discovered today that
UNC?s Wilson Library (the old, rare collections lib.) owns a set of
JJ.Audubon prints and 4-edition facsimile of the original portfolio.
Apparently they have about 90 prints and keep 10 on display at any given
time in the Collection Gallery. One of my favorites, the Carolina Paroquet,
is among those currently exhibited.
UNC?s parking situation and library hours do not make this the most
accessible exhibit for the public, but if you happen to be on campus for
some reason anyway, may be worth a look-see.
