For those of you in the Chapel Hill, Durham, NC area: A woman who is
eager to share her good fortune of an active Pileated nest with 3 young
asked if I would post this information for those interested. The tree is
40 ft from her front door; she said they should fledge soon. Take
15-501S, go one mile past Fearrington Village and turn left onto Mt
Gilead Church Road. Go approx. 2 miles, turn right onto Bynum Ridge Rd.
At the 4th driveway on the left turn left. Veer right at the driveway
split. Her house is 2340 Bynum Ridge Rd, a tan cinder block. Call Dawn
at 542-0491 if you have any questions. Would make a good digiscoping
picture.
