hi y'all,
this a.m. at Hobcaw Barony in Georgetown Cty, SC i encountered a
Yellow-breasted Chat with a begging juvie in tow.
interestingly, the ad. placed itself between its offspring and me and
uttered some Chat-sounds i wasn't familiar with (as if they don't make
enough odd sounds anyway,) which i took to mean don't come any closer to
this thicket...so i didn't.
gotta luv this time of the year, deer flies and all.
;-)
