Hilton Pond 07/08/03 (Butternut Woolyworm)

Butternut Woolyworm.

That's the unusual name of an interesting little organism we found recently at Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History. If you'd like to find out what this creature is, it's the topic of the current photo essay under "This Week at Hilton Pond" for the period 8-14 July 2003. Just click on http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek030708.html for a direct link.

As always, there's a list of all birds banded for the week--plus an account of some very interesting returns of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds.

Happy Nature Watching,

BILL
