The migrants are starting to trickle through, so field trips for the
Chapel Hill Bird Club will resume this Saturday, August 30.
Upcoming trips:
August 30 - Mason Farm (Doug Shadwick)
September 6 - Northern Jordan Lake (Doug Shadwick)
September 13 - Duke Forest (Bruce Young)
September 20 - no local field trip - Chatham County Fall Migration
Count - contact Will Cook to sign up
September 27, 28 - no local field trip - Blue Ridge Parkway trip
(Southern VA and Northern NC) - contact Will Cook
For the regular trips, meet at the Glen Lennox Shopping center on
Highway 54 West (near the intersection with the 15-501 bypass).
Beginners are welcome. No need to sign up first. Please contact Doug

information.
Doug reports that he found a couple of migrants after the cold front on
Sunday (8/24) -- a Baltimore Oriole and a Blue-winged Warbler at the
Fearrington Point boat ramps, Jordan Lake.
