This morning we were delighted to add a new yard bird to our backyard
list --
a young yellow-billed cuckoo catching a fat caterpillar in the small pecan
tree right behind our patio on the edge of Evergreen Nature Preserve.
A cooper's hawk (probably a female from the size) has also been putting our
feeders on her regular rounds.
