She's back!

A female Dickcissel is feeding under the live oak tree at Outer Banks
Birdwatchers this morning. Could it be the same lady that stayed with us
last year? There is no truth to the rumor that she is on the payroll or
that she is here for the Nature Conservancy's birding weekend (Oct. 31 to
Nov. 2, next door at the First Colony for which there are openings.)

In addition to the Dickcissel we have been LBJ central this week with
white-crowned, white throated and possible lark sparrows. A male purple
finch also visited.
