Re: federal report on birding in U.S.



The birding report referenced in Susan's e-mail is an addendum to the 2001
National Survey of Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife-Associated Recreation.

Thanks for the link to this report, Susan!

I have one question, though  --  although I did not read the report word
for
word, I was not able to figure out who the respondents were and how they
came to be surveyed.  Where did FWS get the names of the people to receive
surveys?  Hunting & fishing licenses?  People visiting national wildlife
refuges (NWR)?

Thanks to anyone on this list who might be able to address this topic, as I
doubt that I'm the only one who's wondering!
