James Boyle is writing in the Financial Times about the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) plans to extend copyright into webcasting by creating a new right to “protect” material that has been put on the net. Boyle calls the tactic “Constitutional circumvention” in his article in the same name.

Kirk Ross has started a journal about the Cape Fear Basin called the Cape Fear Mercury. Just in time too, Kirk is going a great job on the season’s first hurricane/tropical storm/depression.
