Free DSL in exchange for your privacy!! (From Harry)

Interesting article in the Jan 24 issue of InfoWorld:

Broadband says they will offer free DSL service to anyone starting later
this year. The cost? Simple: (no, it's never simple!):

1 Your browser constantly displays a bar across the top of your computer
screen showing colorful advertisements.

2 You must give the company certain demographic information. The
article didn't go into detail on what that info exactly was. However,
the company can monitor all your internet use as they please. Oh, and
don't forget the fact that Broadband can also then monitor all your
cable tv-watching.

3 All this demographic/entertainment information about you can be
distributed by Broadband to anyone (for lots of money, of course).

Would you do it??
