Honourable Bhaktas: The writer has been receiving mails from all of you over the past few weeks. Even a small sample reading goes to prove beyond doubt that there is so much to learn from others.. The waves(literally) of knowledge which comes continuously from you all is amazine and makes the writer feel very humble in front of such a honourable, devouted and sincere group... The writer has some doubts, mistaken/misunderstood concepts, on many aspects of religion, faith, Dharma etc. and wishes to use this great and divine forum to perfect his understanding. One of the doubts is on the captioned subject viz Kula Daivam /Kula Sthalam. Considerable opinion is divided and there does not seem to be a clear response/idea on these. Some say that annual visit to the Kula Daivam temple is a must. Still others maintain that once a life-time visit to the Kula Sthalam is a must like the Haj pilgrimage adhered by the Muslims. This category of people maintain that Kula Sthalam is the original place of origination of the Kula/Gotra and so on... In fact this group maintains that it since it is quite difficult to ascertain the Kula Sthalam, for the sake of convenience, people have resorted to the Kula Daivam temple as the Sthalam and hence the original purpose has been corrupted. What is fact and what is fiction is a mystery to the writer even now. ********************************************************************************************** The information in this email is confidential, and intended solely for the addressee.
