THIRUPPAVAI
JEEYAR
àààààààààà àààààà
EmperumAnAr used to chant
ThriuppAvai daily during unjurvarthi.
Once on the 18th pAsuram
'vundhu madhakaLiTRan' he knocked at the doors
of Sri Periya Nambi and out came
his daughter
'athuzhAi'.
Seeing her, he fell at her feet
completely.
Overawed, she askd Nambi why
this happened? Pat came the response from Nambi,
that EmperumAnaR must have been chanting
'vundhu
madhakaLiTran..' pAsuram.
This pAsuram talks of Nappinnai
pirATTi and on seeing Nambi's daughter, EmperumAn mistook her for Nappinnai
pirATTi, being immersed in 'ThiruppAvai' and fell at her
feet.
This
'aidihyam' shows the deep involvemnt of
Vudayavar and that is
why the name
'ThiruppAvai
JEyar'
àààààààààà àààààà
Here we observe the greatest
EmprumAnAr, the vishisthAdvaita king, the yetiRajA, mistaking the
idenity.
This is from Sri PeriyavAchAn
pILLai's vyAkyanam for ThiruppAvai.
