'pirAtti
anandharam pirindhadhu...'
svAmi nam-AzhwAr demonstrated that the soul is for
the LOrd Almighty and Him alone and none else in the thiru-voi-mozhi
"karu mANikka malai mEal"
8-9;
Has anybody else demonstrated like
this?
sEthAp pirAtti has demonstarted this long before
which has formed the crux of a srEvaishNavic act of
surrender.
How is that ?
pirAtti got separated from the Lord three
times.
srE sEthAp pirAtti got separated from the srE rAmA
out of mercy, first time.
-- > When she reached sri lankA, it was out of
volition and the fact that rAvanA abducted was only an excuse. She entered the
imprisonment to remove the shackles of the dhEvA clan who were already
imprisoned. Thus this first separation exhibited pirAtti-s immense mercy on
us-kripai
--- > the second separation is from ayOdhyA
when she entered the forest at the behest of srE rAmA. This is to demonstrate
the subservience/act according to the wishes of the Lord-
pArathanthriyam.
That is whether she was kept in the palance or she
was ordained to enter the forest, pirAtti followed His wishes obediently. This
act of following His wishes rather than acting independently, is "pArathanthriyam" for any
soul.
----> The final separation is to demonstrate -
ananyArhathvam. The Lord, after
having met lavA and kusA and came to know that they were their own sons, called
upon sEthA pirAtti and exhibit her pureness. srE vAlmiki muni enunciated to srE
rAmA regarding her pureness. srE rAmA replied that He knew that she was indeed
pure but for the sake of the society she has to demonstrate for this.
The soul is meant exclusively for the Lord
Almighty. It is for none else. This is ananyArha-shEshathvam. She requested the
mother earth that if she was indeed pure and has not given a thought in her mind
other than srE rAmA , she should be a given a place inside the mother earth. The
mother earth to prove this offered a divine throne in which sEtha pirAtti sat
and got separated.
This instance not just amply proved that sEthA
pirAtti was pure but an education to us that the soul cannot go astray but is
for Him and Him alone.
This is clearly explained in the srEvachana
bhUshaNam sUthram 8:
"pirAtti
muRpadap pirindhadhu thannudaiya kripaiyai veLiyidugaikkAga;
naduvEa
pirindhadhu pArathantharyathai
veLiyidugaikkAga;
anandharam pirindhadhu
ananyArhathvathai veLiyidugaikkAga'
