                                                  'TAKING VARIOUS ATTRACTIVE FORMS
                                                    LORD SATISFIES THE LONGINGS OF DEVOTEES'

sUthram 228-1 "suri kuzhal, anjanam punal mai ninRa pollAp punakkAya ennum abathil koLLum kandha rUpathAlEa prabanna Arthiharan Anavan..."

The Lord takes various graceful forms and various appearances which are equally and more and more attractive. These spring up from the basic and divine thirumEani. These forms are taken up by the Lord Almighty to rescue the souls according to the various requirements and crisis.

The dangers engulfing the devotees are removed by adapting these forms. This is what AzhwAr precisely mentions as
"kAma rUpam koNdu ezhundhu aLippAn-thirumOghUr" 10-1-10;

The nature of removing their obstacles is -Abath sagathvam. The nature of fulfilling theri desires and yearnings is
"Arthi harathvam" which is the prime quality of this tenth-ten.

What can be their desire? The ultimate desire to be away from this miserable kArmic world of brith and death. The Lord Almighty blesses these devotees and satisfies their desire.

The forms the Lord takes are attractive.

The divine hair is curly and attacrtive; the eyes are like lotus; the divine mouth is like lotus;

the thiru-voi-mozhip pAsuram-s indicate this exactly

"thOLu nAnguadi , suri kuzhal kamalak kaN kani vAi" 10-1-1 -- > The Lord with four shoulders has beautiful locks and lotus like eyes and mouth is very attractive;

"kani vAi, thAmaraik kaN karu mANikkam" 10--10-6- > The divine mouth is like fruit, the eyes lotus and precious gem and stones.

Thus it is seen from aboe that the Lord takes up various attractive forms to rescue the devotees and fulfills their ultimate wish by quenching their longings i.e

                                                                Arthi harathvam
