Dear BhakthAs :
You might recall the ThiruvegadamudayAn Kattiyam
that Sriman Vasudevan of Chennai/Dubai sent earlier
and adiyEn's attempts to comment on the anubhavam
of the KattiyakArar .
I want to add two additional points to my earlier
write up :
1. "TaaLAtha ThirumEni " section of the Kattiyam :
Additiional anubhavam beyond
insatiable beauty for our enjoyment is about
the sukumAra ThirumEni that was exposed to
suffering thru wandering with His DEvi for
years in DanDakAraNyam , the aayAsam /asathi /
exertions from lifting Bhumi Devi , the parishramam from measuring the Universe ( Nadantha
KaalhaL
nonthavO ) , the tenderness of the Thiruvadi ,
which could not even bear the pressings
from the lotus soft hands of His DEvis as He rests
. Such is His TaaLAtha ThirumEni
referred to in the Kattiyam .
2. While we are on the subject of Kattiyams for
EmperumAn , especially on
this PurattAsi Saturday , adiyEn wishes to invite
Your attention to the Kattiyam
for ThiruviNNagarappan , YengaL Kula Dhaivam
composed by adiyEn in 1998 .
Sri Rengarajan of Thirukkudanthai had it recited during a Thirumanjanam Uthsavam
in front of Oppiliappan two or three years ago
.
The URL for that Kattiyam that ThiruviNNagarappan
commanded me to offer
as SamarpaNam to HIm is the URL for the
Oppiliappan Web pages :
or
with links to Thirumanjana Kattiyam section there
.
Please have the Sevai of ThiruviNNagarappan in
those
web pages created by Sri Shreyas Sarangan of
Chennai .
ThiruviNNagarappan ThiruvadigaLE SaraNam

Subject: Theevinaigal vaaraadhE vaaraadhE!!!!! Swamin,
AdiyEn has no words to describe the Sukhaanubhavam in reading swami's
description . "Pulakaangitham" is an apt word.
DhEvareer's exposition of the Kattiyam is very very filling, and it only
makes more conspicuous, my ignorance.
I will surely put this on to my mother, and whoever taught her this
kattiyam.
DhEvareer's translation/commentary/only adds more value and insight
into the Bhakthi level of the "punyaathmaa" who composed it....
Manniya seer Thondar Adippodi,
VasudEvan.

Earlier adiyEn has described the Sahasra dhIpAlankAra Sevai of Malayappa Swamy with His Ubhaya NaacchiyArs . Today , adiyEn will focus on the Sevai of Lord SrinivAsa ( Moolavar ) inside the Garbha Graham . This may be an appropriate place to reflect on the short Kattiyam that visualizes the Lord of Saptha Giri as Kutti KaNNan (Govindhan ) and Thrivikraman . The beautiful lines are in the PaadhAdhi KesAntha VarNanam style adopted by ThiruppANAzhwAr (AmalanAdhipirAn) , Swamy Desikan (Bhagavath DhyAna SopAnam ) and Thirukkudanthai Andavan ( AparyApthaamrutha SopAnam on Lord AarAvamudhan of Thirukkudanthai). Kattiyam ( First two lines ) *************************** ThiruppAdham: "TaNDayum Salankayum sAtthina sila Silambum aNDamaLantha azhahaana ThiruvadihaLum " The sacred feet of the Vamana Govindhan are seen with the aabharaNams of TaNdai , Salangai and Silambu .
