Post 2

Dear sri vaishNava perunthagaiyeer,

In post 1 we saw the beautiful addressing of my krishNa as sundhara by two,one
the would be consort rukmiNee, eventually the wife, and second an ascetic
naaraayaNa theertha. Now we can see same address "jagan mOhana" by another
bhakthaa. See here krithi of oothukkadu venkata subbu iyer where sri krishNa is
also addressed "sundhara".

Raagam: mOhana
thaLam: aadhi thaaLam

pallavi:
jagan mOhana sundhara anga
dhrutha ratha anga karuNaapaanga
sarasa kalyaaNa guNa madhura lalitha saahasa
mrudhu mandhahaasa mukha -- jagan

meaning: oh krishNa, who entices the world by your charm, who has a beautiful
body, or Mr. Body beautiful, one who supports a part of a chariot, [means one
who supports the wheel the sudharsana chakra], one who pours sympathythrough
the edge of the eye, a lake of good characteristics, having gentle playful
acts, one who has a smiling soft gentle face.

anupallavi:
nigamaata vishya kaantha charitha nirupamaana
manOllaasa kara leelaamrutha thunga gOpeejana

meaning: the one who is the roaming substance in vEdhaas, the hero of history
incomparable, the heart throb of gOpees and playful nectar of them.

charanam:
santhajana manO ramaNa chidhvilaasa dhayaakara mahOthsava ranjana
chinthaneeya thaneeya neeya tha yatha para samsaara ghOra bhaya haraNa

meaning: the one who delights the minds or hearts of ascetics, who expandsthe
mind, outpouring the sympathy to all, who likes celebrations, minutelyentering
nectar who thinks thoroughly or investigates so thoroughly, one who removes or
destroys the dreaded fear of the samsaara- the life.

Let us go back to the aazhvaar who turned himself as mother yasOdha to enjoy
krishNa as his/her son - see he also addresses 'sundhara'

kaayaa malar niRavaa, karumugil pOl
uruvaa kaanaga maamaduvil
kaaLiyan uchchiyilE thooya nadam
payilum sundhara en siRuvaa ----
1-5-6 periyaazhvaar

meaning: oh the blue lily coloured, having body as the black cloud, who learns
the art of pure dancing on the crown hoods of kaaliyan the deadly snakethe
beauty personification, my young lad ---

This address of "sundhara" was heard by krishNa, when he was an adult, and that
too in the war field, near the arrow bed of bheeshma, when he recited the great
sri vishNu sahasra naamam.
Naama 797 is "sundhara:" in slOkam 85 "udhBhava: sundhara: sundha:" - meaning-
beauty personified.

I just cannot add any comments at this stage, since the beauty of my krishNa
the sundharan overwhelms my mind. So please excuse me, Dear bhakthaas, and
meditate on the beauty of such a lord krishNa.

Dhasan

Vasudevan m.g.
